Over a year ago I had planned to photograph the lighthouse in Altenbruch at moonrise with telephoto lens. For the admission was thought to have the full moon close to the lighthouse to have then with the largest possible focal length a moon on the picture which corresponds in the diameter approximately to the width of the lighthouse.

At the first attempt in 2021 the project fell victim to a cloudy sky on both days.

Then as alternative with larger distance to the tower I had luck in June to catch the moon between cloud fields.

Yesterday evening it looked again as if the clouds would let the project fail. Fortunately, a small gap between the clouds was free, enough to have at least always a large part of the moon in the picture.

And then he was gone again shortly thereafter.

Since my expectations were not very high and because of strong wind, I had not set up my small Fuji for an additional timelapse. However, I did manage a smaller sequence with the Nikon D800.
