Around 22:30 o’clock I drove to the Alte Liebe. OSWIN had actually predicted good conditions, but nothing there. I did not even get out of the car and drove directly back. Around 23:30 o’clock once again looked out of the window and jumped directly into the car. At the Alte Liebe then a very wide […]

Wadden Sea in Döse
Once again a sunset with a shout. Had also briefly the hope that NLCs would show up, but that was quickly destroyed on the spot. Nevertheless a few nice pictures from the Wadden Sea came out. With the Mamiya 150mm tele lens I took these two pictures. …and another (very) short timelapse…
Noctilucent Clouds
Last night it was (almost) perfect. The OSWIN radar showed it all day long and from 22:30 the NLCs were visible also in the northwest. From the “Alte Liebe” I took some pictures until about midnight. Then the low clouds moved in again and obscured the NLCs. In my previous attempts the NLCs were […]
Animated GIFs
I liked the picture with the Westerhever lighthouse quite well and therefore I have made myself times on the search for suitable software for animated pictures in the cinegraph style. The results are partly amazing, but so are the image sizes and loading times with low quality and dimensions. The Goðafoss image shown above is […]
Lighthouse Westerheversand
Yesterday we drove in the afternoon to the lighthouse Westerheversand. Outward journey with the Wischhafenfähre is very pleasant, but the return trip via Hamburg then annoying. Anyway, a few nice pictures have come out of it… Here is a shot with the Haida 15-Stop ND filter. 480 seconds at low sun (about 1 hour before […]
At the Alte Liebe
Wind farm Nordholz in infrared
A few shots with the Nikon D80 and the Hoya R72 Infrared. This color representation is not necessarily everyone’s cup of tea, but on the other hand it has something… Also a picture with the Fuji GFx and the Zeiss Jena 50mm on the Hartblei adapter.
A27 near Köstersweg
Last night I tried again to photograph the Milky Way. However, it is now too bright at night to get similar results as last time. The camera/lens used this time was the Nikon D500 with the Voigtländer 58mm f/1.4. The image is composed of two single images. For the lower area, the exposure was 30 […]

Lightroom Superresolution
With the latest version of Lightroom Classic, the “Superresolution” feature from Photoshop has also been integrated. It has also been changed to support TIFF or other files. This now also opens up the possibility of enhancing RAW files processed with DxO PureRaw. In the 100% crop, a bit more details become visible. […]
