From yesterday evening once again a video from Holte-Spangen. With sunsets and sunrises like this, the Mavic Mini camera will of course fail. This dynamic is a bit too much for the small sensor. This applies even more to the video recordings, where you can get even less out of them with post-processing (at least […]

Lightvessel Elbe 1
Yesterday in the early evening, a rainbow appeared over the Elbe in the direction of Brunsbüttel. The small Fuji is really good compared to the sensor size. Since it is very small, it is ideal for “just quickly” taking along.
At the “Alte Liebe”
Yesterday I made my first, halfway useable, hyperlapse at the “Alte Liebe” in Cuxhaven. The video was made from 250 shots, inserted forwards and backwards in the video, with the Fuji X-T20 and the 18-55mm lens with the help of a monopod.
Wheat…
Here are two somewhat abstract experiments on a wheat field. Both shots with the Nikon D850 and the Nikkor 24f/3.5 PCE. The first image is a multi-exposure of two shots, processed in Lightroom, Photoshop and finally in Silver Efex Pro. The second image, with similar processing, but only a single exposure.
Cuxhaven Holte-Spangen
A short flight west of Cuxhaven. On one side Cuxhaven in the back light and in the background … … on the other side you can still see Sahlenburg in the background above Holte-Spangen and the Küstenheiden nature reserve. It was slightly hazy, but already too late to have more ground fog on the pictures.
Bremerhaven
This morning in Bremerhaven I was almost late. The light was barely on before it got too harsh. The Alexander von Humboldt II obscured a better view of the Hotel Atlantic from the lock, but does not matter in this case. All pictures were taken with the Fuji X and the 18-55mm Fujinon. There are […]
Fuji X
First attempt with the Fuji X-T20. The operating concept does not appeal to me as a Nikon user, but the camera is small, light and accordingly “just quickly taken along”. In the – unfair – comparison to the Nikon D850, but also to the much older D800, the image quality is – still – not […]
Cuxhaven water tower
Today’s evening shot with the modified Nikon D80, Nikkor 16-85 and the Hoya R72 Infrared, converted to black/white
Industrial Fox
Early this morning in Groden, a fox was running around on the premises of a company. When he saw me, he had already gone…
