Cappel-Neufeld timelapse
Last test on this before vacation. The problem with manual mode during evening/morning hours is that the light drops resp. kicks in so drastically. After some further reading on the topic, the best way to avoid such is to switch to Aperture-priority mode during capture. However, this will introduce flickering which can be very annoying. […]
Cuxhaven – Sahlenburg
Some nice skies over the wadden sea during the evening hours. The band of clouds at the horizon hindered a more colorful sunset. I used the D850 with my Zeiss 18f/3.5 for some shots. Of course I let the timelapse camera run as well.
Sahlenburg – Starry skies
My intention was to go for some Aurora Borealis shots. Both evenings before there were good visible ones here and KPI values looked promising in the afternoon. However, no polar lights were seen/photographed. But, instead, I did my first shots of stars in the sky. Above picture was taken at 2254h, so quite late but […]
Birds in the backyard

Cuxhaven – Old fishing harbor
Plain skies, but anyway I wanted to make some shots at the old fishing harbor in Cuxhaven (and – of course – again another timelapse test). The pictures were taken with the D850 using the Zeiss 21f/2.8 and the timelapse was done with the D2x using the Sigma 10-20f/3.5. Again, it is not […]
Cuxhaven – Alte Liebe and more
Wanted to do a timelapse at the Alte Liebe monument in Cuxhaven. However, the sun was too bright later, so the timelapse is only 6 seconds long; but, anyway… The timelapse and the picture above were done using the D2x on the AllView with the Sigma 10-20f/3.5. After the session I went for some shots […]
