The four days in Stockholm flew by. A very varied city that has a lot to offer. As it wasn’t planned as a pure photography trip, I didn’t take very many planned photos. But I’m sure I’ll add a few more when I go through the pictures again.

Malmö
On the way to Stockholm, we stopped for a day in Malmö. The journey from Copenhagen to Malmö over the Öresund Bridge is impressive, but at €67 per journey it’s not exactly a bargain 🙂 The second favourite photo motif was the Turning Torso. A very impressive residential building.
Western Veil Nebula
One night later… the Western Veil Nebula made it into my portfolio. So far I’m actually quite happy with the shot, as I only had about 4.5 hours of exposure time available at this time of year. Recording Data
Polaris Integrated Flux Nebula
Image from last night. Here it was a session with the iOptron SkyGuider Pro and the Nikon D800 with Samyang 135mm. The Polaris IFN can also be photographed very well without a mount, directly from a tripod. In this case, however, the exposure time of a single image should be a maximum of 20s. […]
Perseids and more…

I abandoned my plan to photograph the Perseids in Dorum and instead drove to the Kugelbake – or rather to the northernmost point of Lower Saxony […]
15 minutes Obereversand
A 15 minute long exposure from this afternoon… And once with Wind-Surfer (unfortunately my PS knowledge is not so well developed, but still).
50th summer evening by the sea
We were lucky… The weather got better towards the evening and the rain from the afternoon was over. Of course, there was a lot going on on the dyke and the promenade. OK, so the advertised laser show was a bit of a home-made affair… My first fireworks that I have photographed. […]
Sahlenburg
Lotsenviertel
On the way from the harbour festival through the pilot quarter. It is noticeable that the town of Cuxhaven has little interest in a well-kept appearance. Unfortunately, things don’t look any better in the city centre.
Grimmershörn
Futile attempt to see NLCs again this season, well then, the probability is decreasing for 2024, but don’t give up yet 🙂 The same motif as a b/w realisation, but with the Nikon D5300 full spectrum camera. Finally, once again the Cuxhaven landmark…
