I missed some nice pictures from my January 2012 New York trip. Looking through my older pictures to see what could be used for the Lightroom 6 photo-merge testing, I found lots of panoramas I didn’t run through and besides this also few normal pictures. Here are some of them, more available on the SmugMug […]

Another 2 conversions done on my existing Masai Mara pictures. The 2 elephants were an easy one to decide on.. The young lion also comes out quite nicely in b/w.
I started to review some of my last year picture and see which ones might make it in black and white. Although the Mara is very colorful, sometimes this can work out nicely. This one was shot when the guide found a cheetah that had just hunted a rabbit. It was eating and didn’t really […]
Even in summer the weather in Iceland can be of any kind. However these days it is like there also here in Cuxhaven. Clouds, some small openings in the clouds, rain and so on. All pictures taken with Nikon D800 and Sigma 24-105f4 mounted on Gitzo DT4552TS with Arca Swiss D4. Also trying out […]
Some pictures of the windmill Amanda in Grefenmoor close to Stade. All these pictures were taken in 2006 using the Olympus E-500 with standard kit lenses. At that time I was mainly doing panorama pictures stitched together of several shots using a self-made nodal adapter. For the first time the smock mill was built in 1853. […]
I re-stiched some of my previously taken panorama pictures from 2006 that were shot in Cuxhaven mainly in the harbor area using the Lightroom 6 stitching algorithm. As said, it does a good job with pictures that have less plain areas like sky or water.
Started to see what images might have a nice b/w look. Starting with a very old panorama picture I took in 2006. Just purchased my Olympus E-500 camera (double zoom kit with 14-42 and 40-150 lenses) and some days later I was lucky having nice cloud scenery at the lighthouse. Here’s the colored version which […]
Short flight with the DJI at Cuxhaven Kugelbake. Last flight I did was in the morning hours so the sun was behind the Kugelbake. Today in the early evening hours the light was coming from the opposite side. Unfortunately still a lot of people around so I went a bit offside.

Day trip to Landmannalaugar. Distance: 290 km Time to drive: 6:14 h We changed from station car to a SUV so this trip shouldn’t be an issue. One day in Landmannalaugar. Long driving time though but hope the area will be worth to do it. The area is huge so below viewpoint is just an example […]
