Last night there was a large NLC display over the North Sea. Fantastic! At first, due to the twilight brightness, not so pronounced, this changed with increasing darkness, until it dan again became somewhat paler.

Waxing Moon at 12%
A shot from yesterday evening. Venus was then nevertheless a little far away from the moon, that did not work to get both on the picture (at least with 500mm focal length). Shot with Nikon D500 and Nikkor 500f/5.6 PF; freehand at ISO 100!
Faint NLC over Grimmershörn
Yesterday evening the radar data were quite promising. However, the strong warm air coming from the south probably prevented a larger display. Nevertheless, at least in homeopathic dose a small success in this season.
Hamburg Seehospital (Nordheim Foundation)
Yesterday afternoon I went again to the area of the Hamburg Seehospital (Nordheim Foundation) to take some infrared pictures with the D5300. Some of the images were taken with the 720nm filter, but most were taken with the red filter (should be about 680nm).
Grimmershörn Bay
So far there were unfortunately still no NLCs to see, if I tried it. However, also no clear radar signals were to be seen yet and the chances of success with it with maximally 50%.
