Yesterday evening it worked – for this year – the first time properly. The last weeks were either without NLCs or it was so cloudy that they were unfortunately not visible from here.

From about 23 o’clock the first light structures were visible. After midnight a nice display appeared over the North Sea.

According to my observation and estimation the NLC field should have been over Jutland (Denmark).

Yesterday the weather was finally good enough for us to drive the 300km to East Westphalia to photograph two Gehry architectures. First stop was in Bad Oeynhausen at the Forum Energie Innovation. Then we went to the MARTa Herford… … and back to Bad Oeynhausen once again.
A picture from today in the early afternoon. A panorama of 7 individual images with the Fuji GFX and the Zeiss Biometar 80mm on the Hartblei adapter. After cropping, this resulted in an image with 35158×5868 pixels.
