The city of Cuxhaven has published this week your calendar for the year 2024. The photos for the calendar this time also are all from my portfolio. High quality prints in different sizes and on different media from the motifs in the calendar can be ordered through my printshop.

Friedrich-Clemens-Gerke-Turm
This was already an exceptionally interesting cloud formation in front of the 90% waxing moon. However, I didn’t have time to search for a better location, so I just took a picture in front of the front door.
Art Nouveau vs. Modernism
It could hardly be more contrasting. On the one hand the old art nouveau villa Gehben in Altenbruch and on the other hand the modern restaurant Kliff in Sahlenburg. I photographed the Villa Gehben both in the afternoon and in the late twilight, the Cliff Restaurant only in the early twilight.
Herrmann-Allmers-Haus II
Now I thought to myself that the gardeners must be ready in the evening and on the weekend. So yesterday in the evening I went there again. Yes, the gardeners were ready… Yes, finished were the gardeners, however, these, or someone else, probably built a tent in the yard (hence the “weed cleanup”). […]
Beverstedt
A few shots from yesterday’s tour to Beverstedt. Like the last trips in the direction of Hemmoor and Bad Bederkesa, the first goal was to explore a few new motifs in the area.
Hermann Allmers House
Tour via Rechtenfleth to Beverstedt. Unfortunately, a gardener was working in the courtyard, so I could not take a frontal shot.
Bad Bederkesa
Yesterday afternoon we made a trip to Bad Bederkesa. I did most of the subjects with both the Fuji X-T5 in color and the Nikon D5300 with the 680nm filter. So far, I had only the castle on my radar. Besides this, however, there is still more to discover. On the respective […]
Hemmoor
Short trip to Hemmoor and Osten. In Osten it started to rain, but westwards was still beautiful sunshine. With the car quickly drove to the bridge on the L495, hoping for a rainbow. That has already worked out quite well. A little too far in the direction of the northeast, but still nice. […]
Magnificent view
Last night there was a large NLC display over the North Sea. Fantastic! At first, due to the twilight brightness, not so pronounced, this changed with increasing darkness, until it dan again became somewhat paler.
Rising thunderstorm
Yesterday evening I finally had the opportunity to photograph a thunderstorm. The direction was right, the number of lightning bolts in the forecast was right, and most importantly, it was timed so that it was not yet too dark. First timelapse with the position shown above. About 20:15 clock started and on […]
