Last night it was finally clear again. Opportunity to capture the Andromeda galaxy. Other deep sky objects would have fallen victim to the (almost) full moon. Originally it was supposed to be a mosaic, but that didn’t work out. Therefore as a single image, and thus also M110 squeezed hard to the edge. The […]

M33 – Triangulum Galaxy
Last night were best conditions for a longer session with the telescope. I had set my sights on the previously photographed galaxy M33. In contrast to the two previous shots (the last one was only a test anyway) of the galaxy, I had left the camera position as it was. So the image is […]
NGC 281 – Pacman Nebula
Last night I photographed the emission nebula NGC 281 (Pacman Nebula) with the Skywatcher Evostar. Originally I planned to take 50 single images, but later clouds came up and so there were only 22 usable images. Aufnahmedaten
Perseids V
At the end of this year’s Perseids sessions two more images from August 13th. The first one, this time in format 4:5 (portrait mode), was taken with the Fuji X-T3. It shows a Perseid between the Pleiades and the planet Mars. And here is also a picture with the startrails to the X-T3 session. […]
Perseids IV
In the night from August 12 to 13, that is at the peak of the Perseids, we were lucky to have clear skies. With temperatures of at least 17°C conditions prevailed that made it possible to spend the night outside. Unfortunately we had also full moon exactly in this night, which strongly impaired the brightness […]
Perseids III
Last night I went out again to make another attempt with images of the Perseids. This time it was much more successful concerning the quantity. However, there was no Perseids as bright as last night. The shots were then merged into a single image using PS. This time I used the Fuji GFx with the […]
Perseids II
Perseids
In the night from Saturday to Sunday I had set up my Nikon D500 with the Samyang 135mm and photographed the radiant of the Perseids between 11 pm and about 4 am. Unfortunately, I was only able to capture one Perseid on the sensor in the entire 5 hours. OK, the peak is around August […]
Summer sun
With the sun high in the sky last Thursday I made a panorama of four single images of the sun. The image was taken with the Skywatcher GTi mount and the Fuji X-T3 on the Maksutov 1300mm combined with the Kenko 1.5 teleconverter.
M42 – Orion Nebula
A picture from last night. Unfortunately the season is already quite advanced, so the view of Orion is not so long in the evening. Therefore here first only 3500 seconds exposure time. Maybe I will manage to add a few more exposures. Recording parameters
