In the night from Saturday August 12th to Sunday August 13th this year was the Perseids peak. The weather was actually the whole week before not inviting. On Saturday, on top of that, it was also completely rainy and very gloomy with dense clouds in the sky. However, almost all weather apps agreed that it should clear up from 9pm and there should be a clear starry sky for at least 3 hours. Also, the moon phase was at 11% waning and moonrise from 1:30 am on August 13.

Perseids 2023

After about an hour on site, fog moved in. But this lasted only for some time and was limited exclusively to the ground. Fortunately, the sky remained clear.

Luck had… But, that is needed sometimes 🙂
