One of the main reasons to go to Brittany was seeing and photographing lighthouses. While Le Mont-Saint-Michel was a must on the way to Brittany, the remaining days was focussing on the lighthouses and the areas around them.
In the preparation I planned to have stops on the way from Mont-Saint-Michel to Pleubian for some lighthouses. However, the weather was not allowing to see the one located near Saint Malo.
The tour was via Cancale’s Pointe du Grouin with the nice Phare de la Pierre-de-Herpin and then over to Saint Malo finishing at the accommodation in Pleubian. After arriving and unpacking we did a quick way around the area with the Sillon de Talbert at the Côtes-d’Armor.
Above a picture of the Phare de la Pierre-de-Herpin that is located near Cancale in the bay of Mont Saint-Michel. The distance for shooting was about 2.4 kilometers.
The evening session at the Côtes-d’Armor showed some nice weather conditions and allowed for shooting the Phare des Héaux de Bréhat which is about 4.5 kilometers away from the beach.
