Short-eared Owls – Fifth round

Two nice fellows from a photo community visited Cuxhaven to take some shots of the Short-eared owls. Lucky they were, very nice weather and towards the end a lot of action from 2 birds. The weather has turned from cold snow to slightly above 0°C, so the snow was already nearly gone. OK, you cannot have everything…

We arrived around 10:30am and nothing was going on for about an hour. The birds sat at their usual places near the water.

Early afternoon some action came up when 2 of the owls attacked each other in the air. Unfortunately we stood a bit far away from it.

A lot of photographers were around after midday and the scenery was again somewhat funny. Such little bird has such attraction 🙂

Shortly before the sun was fully down, two of the owls showed lots of action which put a big grin on some photographer’s face 🙂
