To test my Zodiak 30mm Fisheye on the GFX again with the Hartblei adapter I took a few pictures in the city yesterday morning. Since it is often quite close for a good shot, the 50mm of the Zeiss Flektogon is often too long. For comparison, I also packed the Nikon D800 with the Nikkor 24mm PCE.

Adult Education Center

The picture of the adult education center was taken with the Nikon combination. The picture of the memorial was taken with the GFX and the Zeiss 80mm on the Hartblei adapter.

Memorial

The Zodiak images can be rather forgotten for lack of a suitable lens profile. However, the undertaking then gave me the idea to look for or create an appropriate profile for the lenses. From my Olympus days I still remembered the Adobe Lens Profile Generator. Unfortunately, this software is no longer supported by Adobe and is no longer available for download. Fortunately I still had the old version on my NAS.

Here is a comparison of a shot with/without lens profile.

For the horizontal, I’m not 100% sure if the camera was exactly horizontal. In any case, the strong diffraction in the verticals has disappeared.

And since I was already there, I created the profiles for the Zeiss and Mamiya lenses at the same time.
