Great Geysir

The Great Geysir, is a geyser in southwestern Iceland.

Gullfoss waterfall

Gullfoss is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Iceland. The wide Hvítá rushes southward. About a kilometre above the falls it turns sharply to the right and flows down into a wide curved three-step “staircase” and then abruptly plunges in two stages (11 m and 21 m) into a crevice 32 m deep.

Burarfoss waterfall

Small but very nice waterfall with blue water.

Seljalandsfoss waterfall

This waterfall of the river Seljalandsá drops 60 m over the cliffs of the former coastline. It is possible to walk behind the waterfall. We should go there 2 times, in the early morning hours and also later afternoon to evening.

The waterfall is illuminated by 2 powerful spots at night.

This spot might be suitable for the Tamron 70-200.

Wrecked Airplane

1973 a Douglas C117-D of the US Navy forces had to land on its way to Europe because of icing. It had to come down a few hundred meters behind the coastline in the Sólheimasandur down and the wreck was never taken away and is still there. Very often shot, but also a must go if time permits.
