One day to the Landmannalaugar. A bit scared about the warnings you can read here and there regarding the F-road travel. In the end it wasn’t that bad. It was more annoying because of the longitudinal ribs but not very ambitious (the way to Zuni during US 2010 tour was much worse).
The landscape there is special. Very nice colours of the mountains surrounding the valley. However without staying there for longer, it is just for the quick view and enough time to shoot a 10 picture panorama.
Before we return to the car, we see a camper stuck in the river. Maybe he got water into the engine as later when he was towed, the front car didn’t stop. That’s really bad luck!
