Day trip with several viewpoints and must sees on Snæfellsnes.
Distance: 256 km
Time to drive: 3:27 h

Langaholt

If the weather allows, there should be an incrdible view across the bay towards the Snæfellsnes volcano.

Should be suitable for the Tamron 70-200mm lens or the Sigma 24-105mm.

Arnastapi Village

A small town at the most west side of Snæfellsnes peninsula. The coast line and the Stapafell should offer opportunities for some good shots.

Ólafsvík Village (option for whale watching tour)

Towards the north of Arnarstapi another small town where whale watching tours are offered. Let’s see what this area offers.

Kirkjufell

I think everyone traveling to Iceland does have a picture done at this spot, but it is a must-see.

Should be mainly done with wide angle lens. Plan to use either the Sigma 24-105 or the Voigtländer 20mm

Gerðuberg Basaltic Columns (optional)

This spot should offer a view towards the coarse basalt rocks. Maybe not that spectacular but a nice stop when heading back to the vacation home.
