Yesterday we agreed to start at 6:15am. For this we had to get up at 5:30am. The room stewart served coffee and some small bites on the veranda. Nice to sit outside and have a coffee in the darkness…
We are leaving the camp but it is still dark. However, within 1/2 hour the early light gets through.
Close to the crossing of the Olare Orok river a Hippo carcass is serving some breakfast for the Mara gourmets.
The spotted hyena wasn’t amused…
The drive continues through the Mara passing herds of Topis, Zebras, Buffalos and – of course – Wildebeests.
After 3h driving through the area breakfast is taken at the Mara river. But before we get there, others also are having some breakfast.
After breakfast we are moving to a nice spot with some Giraffes.
Slowly driving backwards to the camp arriving at around 1pm for lunch and some relax time.
