Some nice skies over the wadden sea during the evening hours. The band of clouds at the horizon hindered a more colorful sunset. I used the D850 with my Zeiss 18f/3.5 for some shots. Of course I let the timelapse camera run as well.

Sahlenburg – Starry skies
My intention was to go for some Aurora Borealis shots. Both evenings before there were good visible ones here and KPI values looked promising in the afternoon. However, no polar lights were seen/photographed. But, instead, I did my first shots of stars in the sky. Above picture was taken at 2254h, so quite late but […]
Birds in the backyard
It has been a while that I did some bird photography. Since some days there is a little wren every morning in a tree close by singing loudly his melody and he does never get tired. So, I decided to take some pictures. While doing so, also an Eurasian tree sparrow and a Chiff chaff […]
Cuxhaven – Old fishing harbor
Plain skies, but anyway I wanted to make some shots at the old fishing harbor in Cuxhaven (and – of course – again another timelapse test). The pictures were taken with the D850 using the Zeiss 21f/2.8 and the timelapse was done with the D2x using the Sigma 10-20f/3.5. Again, it is not […]
Cuxhaven – Alte Liebe and more
Wanted to do a timelapse at the Alte Liebe monument in Cuxhaven. However, the sun was too bright later, so the timelapse is only 6 seconds long; but, anyway… The timelapse and the picture above were done using the D2x on the AllView with the Sigma 10-20f/3.5. After the session I went for some shots […]
Obereversand
Promising sunset and fast moving clouds, time for another timelapse test. Again, I went to Obereversand to test. Then, after I already put my AllView back into the car, the sky started to explode in colors. I rushed back to the beach and did some nice shots of the lighthouse in the evening sky colors. […]
Cuxhaven – Kugelbake
Another try for a timelapse at Kugelbake in Cuxhaven. It was really stormy weather but nice cloud moving. Setting up the AllView head on the wall was already a slight challenge. I did not use the Berlebach’s full size but left it at half. Again, I used the D2x but this time with the Sigma […]
Cuxhaven – Kugelbake
Second attempt to do a timelapse using the Skywatcher Allview using the D800 and the Sigma 24-105f/4. Sunrise isn’t yet good because the manual setup of the camera does it too dark in the beginning and when the sun shows up it is getting too bright. I need to dig a bit further on that. […]
Obereversand
Time for another Obereversand session. It did look very nice the whole day but, the more it got towards the evening hours, the more clouds did show up. However, I still went there because I wanted to test the Skywatcher Allview for doing a timelapse video. Besides that I also spent some time doing regular […]
Cuxhaven – Kugelbake
Although it didn’t look like it at first, the early morning evolved into a small spectacle in the sky. But before it did, I went to the Kugelbake early on time. On the way there it already indicated in the sky for such. In the foreground, medium to low clouds, at the horizon free way […]
