First of all I wanted to see which field planting is in front of the mill. Unfortunately not rape, as I would have wished.

Maritime Details
I got an invitation for a short exhibition here in my hometown. The exhibition will be in September and will have the motto “Maritime Details”. As I do not have any pictures covering the theme, I have to pick up this challenge. Although it was also offered to show something else, it won’t be fair […]
At the “Alte Liebe”
Early morning at the Cuxhaven harbour. Daylight saving time but early enough up to grab the first morning light. Using the D850 with the Zeiss 21f/2.8 with attached polarizing filter and ND-Grad 64 to smooth the water.
Early Afternoon
Short walk around the Kugelbake monument. As announced, it was quite windy, but, due to the low tide, there was little swell.
3 days without luck… finally
Three evenings without luck in a row. I missed the good light situation every day with about 30 minutes. Today in the early morning hours finally a great sunrise. For about 45 minutes a fantastic light and colour situation in the sky.
Kugelbake at night
I was looking (again) for some Northern Lights, but wasn’t lucky with that. While waiting, I took some pictures of the Kugelbake monument with the stars above. Definitely a shot I will do another time with some better conditions. The shot was taken with the D850 and the Zeiss 18/f3.5.
Early Morning
Early morning hours in three locations. On my way to a breakfast appointment, I started 2h earlier and went to three locations. First stop was at the Midlum windmill. As the sky didn’t have any clouds, the location didn’t work well today. However, one panorama image has survived the bin. Next stop was at another […]
Beautiful sunset evening
I had a wonderful session yesterday evening at Obereversand. The sky looked promising and in the end not as disappointing than last time I was there for the lunar eclipse. I did several shots including HDRs and Panoramas. Two to share for the moment…
Lunar eclipse
I had already my doubts when weather forecast was showing clouds coming in from the north over the northern part of Germany. Anyways, I got up at 4:15 to drive to the lighthouse in Dorum-Neufeld for some shots of the eclipse. I arrived shortly after 5:15 having another 30 minutes until the total eclipse should […]
