Starting of th eday is very cloudy and quite cold. However, later it got much better and afternoon was a fantastic day again – liek yesterday.

Some Lake Tappan pictures when the sun started to put some nice light to through trees.

Before I went to Lake Tappan, I spent some time at the Stateline Lookout and was able to spot a Bald Eagle flying by. Because of the light, I wasn’t able to get a better shot.

Quick example how hard it is to spot a Bald Eagle in the trees. He’s right in the center of the picture. The second one show a crop of that area (Original pixel size is 6000×4000, crop is 351×234 pixel). I used the 200-400 lens with the D7100 (providing already 1.5 crop from DX sensor). The bird was about 1/2 mile away at the opposite side of Oradell reservoir.

Later in the afternoon an Osprey with his fortune in hunting was heading to his place at Stateline Lookout.

At last a shot of a quite different kind of birder. He was taking around 10 minutes to get his tripod solid standing and then putting his camera on it. Not sure if he had more luck…
