Today it was almost windless at the Grodener Wettern. Accordingly, there was also more activity there.
Grodener Wettern
This morning drove again to the place named Baumrönne in Cuxhaven to hopefully photograph the reed buntings. It was quite windy, so that not too much was going on. With a few situations I had then but luck.
Reed buntings and a pheasant
Yesterday morning a few reed buntings were cavorting at the tree canopy. Also from yesterday are the pictures of the pheasant and the gray heron at Pastor-Draegert Weg. A rough wire mesh fence was in the way of the pheasant, but this is only a small area in the plumage where the contrasts are a […]

Starlings
Approximately 10000 starlings are currently seen on the Cappel-Neufeld compensation areas and the adjacent dike. From the observation tower a few avocets could also be observed and a meadow pipit was quite busy supporting the breeding.
Pileated woodpecker pair

I still have to experiment a bit with the autofocus settings of the X-T3, but otherwise it is already very good. Exif data is also fully adopted. This could make the Nikon D500 obsolete 🙂 […]
Very early morning
Actually, I wanted to find out if you can still see the Milky Way above the bright city, but unfortunately that did not work. When testing then so slowly on the horizon the twilight set in. Since the lighting of the Kugelbake again and again once partially failed I had the opportunity to capture this […]
Hurry up…
A little late for the fantastic morning sky. So only briefly in the city center and made a shot with the X-T3. Shortly after that it was already over again.
