I’ve been putting a little more effort into editing existing, older images lately. All the new additions to Lightroom and Photoshop in the last 12 months have given me a completely different perspective on images that I’ve been sorting out or are boring. The picture of Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre was taken during a visit […]

Architecture in Cuxhaven V
After it has not worked the day before yesterday to photograph the indoor swimming pool I went there again yesterday. This time the forecourt was empty and I could tackle it.
Cuxhaven architecture IV
A shot of the (no longer very pretty) round gymnasium in Cuxhaven. Actually, I wanted to photograph the new indoor pool, but there were too many people in the outdoor area. So that will have to wait.
Three reworks
In the last few days I have reprocessed three older pictures in black and white. The chapel Chapelle Notre-Dame-du-Haut de Ronchamp (Le Corbusier) was taken in 2021 during a visit to Ronchamp. The second remake is the Statue of Liberty in New York City. The shot was taken in 2012 with the Nikon D2x […]
Wheat…
Here are two somewhat abstract experiments on a wheat field. Both shots with the Nikon D850 and the Nikkor 24f/3.5 PCE. The first image is a multi-exposure of two shots, processed in Lightroom, Photoshop and finally in Silver Efex Pro. The second image, with similar processing, but only a single exposure.
Windmills
Today I took some infrared pictures with the modified Nikon D80. About 4 more weeks, then it will be worth it with the foliage on the trees. Both images were taken with the D80, Nikkor 16-85 and a Hoya 720nm infrared filter. Editing was done in Photoshop and Lightroom on black and white.
Kaiser-Wilhelm-Brücke
Here are two views of the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Brücke in Wilhelmshaven from yesterday evening. Both images were done with the D850 and the Sigma 24-105f/4 Art using a 1.8 ND-Filter.
Cuxhaven – Steubenhöft
One of the most attractive buildings in Cuxhaven is unfortunately completely overbuilt in the harbour and not very well maintained in the surrounding area. The D850 was used with the 24mm PC-E and 2 ND filters (13 stops) to achieve > 4 minutes exposure time.
Hamburg – Dancing Towers
Some pictures from yesterday’s Santa Pauli Christmas Market visit. I have to go for the Dancing Towers again with more time. Great architecture. Details… …and one time in full view.
Bremerhaven without colour
Two black/white pictures from Bremerhaven. The pictures were thought from the outset without color, so no subsequent “oh yes, that might work also” pictures. I have to do the Klimahaus again when the Christmas lights have been removed.
