Quick flight in the morning hours around Cuxhaven’s landmark “Kugelbake”.
Birds in the backyard
Unbelievable combination. The D7200 and the Sigma 150-600 S plus TC-1401 does perform so fantastic. This combo results in viewing angle of approx. 1260mm equivalent in FX. These results really open the question whether one needs to spend 8 to 10k€ for a prime lens… (still on my wishlist though :-))
Birds in the backyard
Some results from shooting with the D7200 over the last days in addition to my earlier blog entry now at SmugMug having some additional and different shots.
Using D7200 for bird shooting
Main reason for this crop camera is for wildlife and bird shooting. So I tried it out over the last days using it with the Tamron 150-600 and the Sigma 150-600 handhold only. The results are really impressive. Even at ISO 1600 still usable and with ISO 3200 somewhat satisfying at least for small pictures […]
Nikkor 200-400, Sigma 150-600 and Tamron 150-600 (Part 7: D7...
Introduction Second series with this combo is using the zooms at 600mm, main reason to buy such zooms. The Nikkor was again equipped with the TC-17II and set to 350mm which results in 600mm. The full pictures The camera was set to 100 ISO, it’s native ISO setting. All pictures taken with an aperture of f6.3 for the […]
Nikkor 200-400, Sigma 150-600 and Tamron 150-600 (Part 6: D7...
Introduction Another game to start. Recently purchased D7200 looks promising from the specs. I had the D7100 before and annoying thing was the 24MPix sensor together with the telezooms and the buffer 0f 6 pictures which is ridiculous for shooting wildlife. The D7200 offers up to 18 pictures buffer with 12-Bit colour depth. That does […]
Seafowl
Rieselfelder Münster
Planned as a comparison of the Tamron 150-600 vs. the Sigma 150-600 with some users of a photo forum, it became obvious that not many would come over there. The weather turned out to be really bad for making a sensible test. However, some of the pictures taken there survived the wastebasket. In the afternoon of […]
DJI Phantom Vision flight at Rieselfelder Münster
Day before some forum users want to meet. When I arrived it was very foggy but after 2 hours, some sunshine came through. Two very short flights just to grab some pictures of the scenery.
Cuxhaven
Another early morning session at Cuxhaven landmark Kugelbake. Using the D4 with the Sigma 24-105 partially on Feisol Monopod.
