Some sunset pictures from Glameyer-Stack which is a place, near Otterndorf, at the river Elbe. From there my hometown is nicely visible at the horizon. The sunset was quite nice having good colours. However, due to the ships moving on the river, it was not really possible to do any good time exposure.

Cuxhaven – Early morning at Alte Liebe

Cuxhaven – Heatherfields
Two attempts to grab some pictures of the prospering heather in the refuge near the shoreline. The morning didn’t went that well as the expected light was not showing up. The evening hours did much better with the light.

Sunrise at Kugelbake
I was hoping for some nice colours with clouds in the morning. However, this did not happen. Sunrise has already moved further forward in south direction, so there won’t be much time left to shoot from this position in 2017.
Sunflowers
Rare finding here in Cuxhaven – a field with sunflowers. Looks like not intentionally have been seeded for this and still a bit sparse but somewhat nice. Shortly I’ve taken the pictures, it started to rain. Shot with the D800 and the Sigma 24-105mm using a tripod.
Sunset at Kugelbake
Another sunset at Cuxhaven’s monument at the river Elbe and the Northern Sea. This time from a different location I never were before. Unfortunately the sky didn’t have much clouds above the monument. I used the PC-E 24 Tilt/Shift lens on the D800. However, still need to learn appropriate tilt usage.
