Small articles around my photography experience
Birds in the backyard
Unbelievable combination. The D7200 and the Sigma 150-600 S plus TC-1401 does perform so fantastic. This combo results in viewing angle of approx. 1260mm equivalent in FX. These results really open the question whether one needs to spend 8 to 10k€ for a prime lens… (still on my wishlist though :-))
Birds in the backyard
Some results from shooting with the D7200 over the last days in addition to my earlier blog entry now at SmugMug having some additional and different shots.
Seafowl
Rieselfelder Münster
Planned as a comparison of the Tamron 150-600 vs. the Sigma 150-600 with some users of a photo forum, it became obvious that not many would come over there. The weather turned out to be really bad for making a sensible test. However, some of the pictures taken there survived the wastebasket. In the afternoon of […]
Cuxhaven
Another early morning session at Cuxhaven landmark Kugelbake. Using the D4 with the Sigma 24-105 partially on Feisol Monopod.
Birds in the backyard
Recently bought a D4 and today was the right weather to quickly try it out using the Sigma 150-600 (partially with TC-1401). All mounted on Berlebach UNI-16 and Wimberley WH200. The common blackbird was shot with 3200 ISO. Impressive performance of the camera. Below shot was done using the TC-1401 converter resulting in 850mm focal […]
Lighthouse Balje
Short location preview in Balje. Lousy weather with just some minutes of sun between showers. All shots with D800 using Induro Monopod. Several lenses used for the pictures.
Seafowl in Cappel-Neufeld
Another shooting of the Eurasian oystercatcher (Haematopus ostralegus) at Cappel-Neufeld. All shots taken with Berlebach UNI-16 tripod and Wimberley WH200. Used D2x and D3 on Sigma 150-600 S with TC-1401 and the Tamron 150-600. The Tamron was used without tripod.
