Westerheversand Lighthouse
We went there yesterday to take some shots according to my planning. However, the second part from the planning didn’t work out as the second and third planned locations are not doable due to no pathway to get there (which isn’t showing as good on Google Maps) and also it is closed rest area for breeding […]
Improving planning skills
I try to improve my planning skills for photo location visits. Of course this cannot be done for each and every location but it might provide some good results for a specific shooting in a single location. So here’s the thing… I will go for lighthouse Westerheversand tomorrow. The weather forecast doesn’t look too bad so […]
Hamburg
Some pictures from last Saturday… Mainly using the Zeiss 25/2.8 for shooting; however, it was already late and close to noon so not the best light conditions. In Lightroom I used the Kodak Velvia 100 develop preset for some pictures.
Bremerhaven – Ovation of the Seas
The new constructed Ovation of the Seas is docked in Bremerhaven and will get over to Hamburg this weekend. Visiting the Atlantic Hotel platform to have a nice look from above in sunny weather but later also at the Columbus Cruise Terminal. Again it proved that the Sigma Art Series do have outstanding performance. Sharpness is incredible […]
Windmill Amanda in Grefenmoor
Some pictures of the windmill Amanda in Grefenmoor close to Stade. All these pictures were taken in 2006 using the Olympus E-500 with standard kit lenses. At that time I was mainly doing panorama pictures stitched together of several shots using a self-made nodal adapter. For the first time the smock mill was built in 1853. […]
Germany 2014-04-12
Nice Canolafield which was already in full blossom mid April. Just slightly too late to grab the pictures while early morning fog was still visible.
Bremen 2014
Bremen tour A short tour through Bremen. Walking around near the old city hall, Böttcherstrasse and the Schnoor area. The Böttcherstrasse is close to the city hall. Only 100m long and has nicely restored old buildings. Worth a visit. Moving on to the Schnoor. A street in the oldest area of Bremen. Never been there […]
Bremerhaven 2014
Bremerhaven Harbour Some night shots in the harbor while a Wallenius Cargo ship was pulled in and some from opposite side of the “Klimahaus”.
Fehmarn 2013
Highly recommended for bird-shooting… However, either it was me not able to get to right places or because of the strong winds or because wrong time of the year (which I doubt), but not good conditions for getting some nice pictures from this trip. The best (if one could call it that) area was in […]
