Skyfire had a 60% chance of nice sunrise. However, that did not happen as I thought. Anyways some morning shots of the location using the D800 and the Zeiss 18mm lens.

Cuxhaven – Sahlenburg Timelapse
Short test of the Irix f2.4 on my D800. The result was not what I was looking for and what was stated on diverse websites. I sent it back next day. While I was testing the Irix 15mm f2.4 using my D800 I started the D7200 and it do a timelapse.
Sunrise at Kugelbake
Early morning at Cuxhaven’s town landmark the Kugelbake. The weather forecast wasn’t really promising but it turned out to be a stunning sunrise. I used the D800 with the Samyang 135f2 and a polarizer for some decent shots while the sun was rising.
Cuxhaven – Alte Liebe
Early morning at the “Alte Liebe” in Cuxhaven. Short but somewhat nice sunrise time with just a small area where the sun was coming through the clouds.
Lighthouse “Kleiner Preusse”
Another set of sunset shots at the lighthouse. First time was spent to grab some impressions of the so called “Wremer Tief”, later a couple of shots of the lighthouse itself.
Cappel-Neufeld morning shot
Early morning shot taken in Cappel-Neufeld. Nice sunrise in the back lighting the clouds in front of me. First shot taken with the Zeiss 21f2.8 and second with the Samyang 135f2.
Cuxhaven – Küstenheiden

Winter sunset
The sky looked promising yesterday afternoon. Low thick clouds over the area but south direction was blue sky. Sunset was close so I went to the shore near by to shoot some sunset pictures. Unfortunately, the sky didn’t turn to the full red in the cloudy area but still a nice one. Used the D800 on […]
Foggy morning…
Just for one shot down to the “Alte Liebe”. With such conditions a black and whit edoes make a better job. Using the D800 with Zeiss 35f2 and Polarizer with 10-Stop ND. At f8 this was resulting in 30 seconds exposure time which smoothed the water quite well.
