Today I made an infrared picture with the Nikon D80, Nikkor 16-85 and the Hoya R72 filter. It is rather something for spring and summer, but with subsequent retro-style conversion to Lightroom, it can also be used in winter.

Cuxhaven – Local Court
Difficult to photograph. You stand very close to it and even with a 24mm TS-lens it is not enough to put the camera in balance on the tripod. An attempt with 18mm fails almost as well. The tripod head has to be moved out of balance or it is not possible without cutting off the […]
Lighthouse Balje
Early this morning in Balje. Light frost and hardly any wind. Although the sunrise cannot directly be seen from the position I stood, even in winter; a great sky above the lighthouse showed up. The colors in the image above have been slightly reduced in the post-production, they were a little more blatant in nature. […]
Cuxhaven – Steubenhöft
One of the most attractive buildings in Cuxhaven is unfortunately completely overbuilt in the harbour and not very well maintained in the surrounding area. The D850 was used with the 24mm PC-E and 2 ND filters (13 stops) to achieve > 4 minutes exposure time.
Historical public bathroom
Here’s the attempt to take a picture of the historical public bathroom close to the dike at the ferry harbour in Cuxhaven.
Supplement to the Obereversand
I created a black/white version of a picture for the contribution about the week of lights from Obereversand.
Redthroat and wadden wagon
Short tour in the Duhner Heide and some pictures from there. The pictures were taken with the Nikon D500 and the AF-S 500 PF.
Obereversand
On Saturday evening the artist duo KystLys illuminated the Midlum windmill. Yesterday evening it was the lighthouse Obereversand in Dorum-Neufeld at the end of the 1st Wurster Light Week. Very nice effect, but also difficult to shoot due to the heavy red component. The side effects were aggravating, partly by the artists. I cannot understand […]
Windmill Midlum
Last week, the artist duo KystLys turned various objects into works of light art during the 1st Wurster Light Week. Yesterday the Midlum Mill was the selected object. It would have been nice if the installation had been activated until the morning hours, but unfortunately the two artists already started to dismantle the spotlights at 10 pm. […]
Prediction vs. Reality
Actually, the whole week was/is predicted to be overcast with occasional rain. That this is not always correct was shown again early this morning.
