After years of travel photography with analog equipment, I started again with digital photography in 2006. After an intensive consultation on the part of Ringfoto Schattke, I first used Olympus cameras for 4 years.
Since I later also became active in the field of nature photography, I switched to Nikon in 2012, again based on the good advice at my local dealer. Via the D300s and D800 and the D4, D500 and D850, I have recently started using Fuji cameras and lenses and am well equipped for a wide variety of situations. The focus is mainly landscape and nature photography and here especially bird photography.
A mix of fast fixed and zoom lenses and up to three camera bodies accompany me on my photo tours or during my vacations, which are mainly dedicated to photography. Especially in landscape photography it is important not to be on location at times that correspond to the normal daily routine. Here it can go then also times at 4 o’clock in the morning, or become late in the evening, if the light is as I expect it for my pictures.
Since the middle of 2018, I have additionally started to do astrophotography. The progress in this area can be followed here in the blog.

ich bin über die Kombination D500/Aokatec AK-G1s auf die Seite gestoßen.
Mein Aokatec will nicht mit der Kamera zusammenarbeiten. Gibt es irgendwelche bestimmten Einstellungen, die man bei der Kombi beachten muß? Vielleicht kannst Du helfen.
Ansonsten sehr schöne Aufnahmen und ein beeindruckendes Arsenal.

Hallo,
über die Recherche zu Foto-Spots in der Toskana bin ich auf die Blogs hier gestoßen, klasse Arbeit und klasse Fotos!! Auch das Equipment kann sich sehen lassen.
Ich habe früher viel analog fotographiert, und bin vor kurzer Zeit mit einer Sony Alpha 7 III zurück in die Welt der Fotos gestoßen. Wie gesagt, ich möchte im Oktober in die Toskana, habe derzeit ein Tamron 28-85 f/2.8 und will mir bis dato noch ein Objektiv zulegen.
Haben Sie Tipps bezüglich der Brennweite? Da ich gerne zur Dämmerung/Abend/Nacht fotographiere, liebäugel ich mit einem Sigma 14mm 1.8 oder einem Sony 24mm 1.4 GM (teuer aber ich kaufe lieber einmal statt mehrmals)….die Frage ist, ob 14mm zu krass ist, und ob 24mm im Gegensatz zu den 28mm die ich bereits abdecke so ein Vorteil ist. Ggf. wäre auch ein 70-200 irgendwann nötig, aber da ich eher Landschaften und Architektur im Auge habe, wollte ich das Tele ein wenig aufschieben.
Es wäre toll, wenn Sie mich durch Ihre enorme Toskana-Erfahrung ein wenig beraten könnten.

Hallo,
in der Toskana habe ich eher weniger Superweitwinkel genutzt. Bei meinem ersten längeren Aufenthalt wurden – neben Standardbrennweiten wie 35 bis 50 mm – auch viel Telebrennweiten genutzt. 90mm und 135mm kamen oft zum Einsatz (http://www.karpa-cuxhaven.de/wordpress/2016/09/27/italy-statistics/).
In 2018 wurden die Bilder mit zwei Kameras gemacht. An der Nikon D800 (Kleinbild) kam fast ausschliesslich das Sigma 24-105 zum Einsatz (342 von 372 Bildern). Die Nikon D850 wurde zumeist bei den Stativaufnahmen genutzt. Hier ist eine größere Anzahl unterschiedlicher Objektive zum Einsatz gekommen. Von den 429 Bildern sind 161 mit dem Tamron 70-200, 75 Bilder mit dem Samyang 135mm und 46 mit dem Voigtländer 90mm entstanden. Dazu noch 67 Bilder mit dem Voigtländer 58mm. Echtes Superweitwinkel sind insgesamt 4 Bilder mit den Zeiss 18mm und 21mm, also vernachlässigbar.
