The Polaris IFN can also be photographed very well without a mount, directly from a tripod. In this case, however, the exposure time of a single image should be a maximum of 20s.

One night later… the Western Veil Nebula made it into my portfolio. So far I’m actually quite happy with the shot, as I only had about 4.5 hours of exposure time available at this time of year. Recording Data
