Extended photo tour with 2 photo friends in Berlin. Planned were about 60 hours stay in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe (part 2 and 3 to follow).

3XN-Cube

On the first day (afternoon) a tour through the government district over to the 3XN Cube at the main station. In the afternoon, the light was not so good, of course, but still some shots could be made.

Federal Ministry of Education and Research

Through the government district we went via Brandenburg Gate and Holocaust memorial back for a short picture at the Congress Hall.

Congress Hall

In front of the Reichstag it became clear that the view to the Platz der Republik will be less suitable for a photo, because the entrance was blocked by an ugly construction site with excavators and other stuff. In addition, they have – in contrast to our visit in 2009 – a kind of container hall permanently built. This is used for screening and controlled entry (In this context, also always nice the fancy construction fences that are found everywhere nowadays).

Spreepromenade

Finally, again past the Cube and Futurium to the Paul-Löbe-Haus, where we had started our tour.

Paul-Löbe-Haus

Since the hotel was close to the Friedrichstadtpalast, it was a good idea to take another night shot of it here.
