Now it finally worked out. Clear sky in the morning. The sun is very low but at least some change from the normal day.
Quite a large number of sunspots are nicely visible.

Taken with the D500 on the Maksutov 1300. The sharpness is not as hoped for, but perhaps one can still work on that. The structures are a little bit recognizable and of course the small scope does not come close to a much more expensive SC or Maksutov.
After a hearty breakfast at Drangstedter Tannenhof, a short visit to Bad Bederkesa station, where the museum train is currently parked. Unfortunately, the locomotive was not there. Yesterday the weather was finally good enough for us to drive the 300km to East Westphalia to photograph two Gehry architectures. First stop was in Bad Oeynhausen at the Forum Energie Innovation. Then we went to the MARTa Herford… … and back to Bad Oeynhausen once again.
A picture from today in the early afternoon. A panorama of 7 individual images with the Fuji GFX and the Zeiss Biometar 80mm on the Hartblei adapter. After cropping, this resulted in an image with 35158×5868 pixels.
