I had picked out a few photo locations for architecture before the trip. On the German side, this was the Vitra Campus in Weil am Rhein. The light there was unfortunately already too bright, yet the Vitra Design Museum designed by Frank Gehry and the Vitra House.

Unfortunately for us, there was a rubble container in front of the entrance to the museum. Someone must not have really thought about it when he placed it so close to the entrance. After all, the museum is also visited by architectural tourists in buses because of its architecture.

Another Gehry building I wanted to see in Basel, but unfortunately – and this was not so directly apparent on the Internet – the Novartis office building is located on the premises of the company Novartis and is not freely accessible. What a pity…

In Basel there was the event hall at the Messeplatz. That is already really well done design.

Public transport runs under the Dome. On the forecourt to the hall entrance, construction work was in progress and the forecourt was unfortunately closed off.

Another object in Basel was then finally the building Werkraum Warteck pp. Unusual, modern access to the old building; not so easy to photograph…
