On the sixth day we made a second attempt to see the “floating islands” at Krutyń. The first attempt fell victim to the bad weather the day before. However, there is nothing floating there. I guess you have to spend a lot more time there to see it.

Rezerwat Przyrody Zakręt

After a short hike you reach the footbridge with a view of the moor lake. Already at the parking lot a local dog joined us and “showed” us the way. During the whole hike and the longer stay at the lake the dog always stayed with us. On the way back he ran ahead again and left us when we arrived back at the car.

Afterwards we went to the village Karpa at the southern edge of Masuria. It is fun to see the own lastname at a village sign.

Karpa

OK, it was nothing more than that.

The next stop was then in Pisz. Similar in size to Mrągowo, Kętrzyn or Giżycko, this is also a very nice, tidy little town and the apple pie in the Cafe Family is great.

On the marketplace I did another 360° panorama.

Finally we went back via Rozogi and Maradki. In Maradki I flew with the drone for a short time, but there was already a strong wind, so I kept it short.

For dinner again to the town hall restaurant. Clear 5 stars for the food here.

A day without cemeteries, also quite nice 🙂

Day-Trip

On the sixth day we drove about 235 kilometers. Destinations were Krutyń, Karpa, Pisz and Maradki.

Not a high quality video, but it shows quite well how it looks like on site.
