On the fourth day good weather was once again predicted, so two flights with the drone were scheduled. First a second time in Karwie at the cemetery, this time with the planned dronelink flight (video will follow).
At the cemetery we had more luck this time as well. We found a grave, although the Erika Karpa is not yet registered in my family tree.
She is the daughter of Emilie Karpa, who is also buried there and whose grave has been heavily weathered in the meantime.
Here is a photo from 1972, which was kindly made available to me.
We had to cancel the originally planned dronelink flight in Grabowo because the cows grazing there did not quite agree with our presence.
Mikołajki
In the late afternoon we went again to Mikołajki, a typical tourist place like Duhnen here in Cuxhaven. Quite nice, but you don’t have to have it…
I couldn’t make the planned dronelink flight there because the planned launch site was surrounded by slightly higher trees and I didn’t want to risk the drone crash.
Day-Trip
On the fourth day we drove about 200 kilometers. Destinations were Mrągowo, Kętrzyn, Mikołajki and Szymonka.
Not a high quality video, but it shows quite well how it looks like on site.
