Extremadura – Kingfisher

A morning in the Kingfisher hide. In the beginning the birds stayed far away in the back (and dark) part of the area.

Later, actually shortly before the time was up, also closer to the hide. At the end the female organized a real show as well…

I also managed to catch the fast bird in flight twice. Too bad that it was a bit dark, the high ISO and mostly long shutter speeds prevented better pictures.

Around noon we drove with the 4×4 through the surrounding area.
