Last night I was waiting for the intended object to rise. Since my gear was ready before, I took the opportunity to shoot my first nebula images.

NGC 7000 – North America Nebula

The NGC 7000 image was done with 40 lights and 10 darks at 60 seconds using ISO 1600 on my D800.

IC 5070 – Pelican Nebula

The IC 5070 image was done with 25 lights and 10 darks at 90 seconds using ISO 1600 on my D800.

Still having alignment issues with the mount, so the scope was not pointing correctly to the objects. Also the coma is still there as I have not gotten my corrector yet. Furthermore I need to get better using Photoshop. A lot to be done… However, not too bad for the first nebulas…

Above shows the misalignment for the NGC 7000.
