Location overview

Last time we only saw this location during daytime and late afternoon. Although the late afternoon shot came out quite nicely, it is not what I was looking for.

The planned locations in overview.

The distances are between 590 and 810 meters.

The morning shot (favorite location)

The first location, which is my favorite, might be on private property, so it might only work out from the alternate position.

The Google Earth view shows the sun already fully up behind the villa. This might require an earlier shot not having the sun directly pointing at the lens to avoid any possible lens flares.

In Photo Transit ist looks like the Samyang 135mm or – for a bit wider – the 90mm Voigtländer should make the best shot.

The morning shot (alternate location)

The alternate location is at greater distance which will require at least the Samyang 135/f2 or the Tamron 70-200/f2.8. but is on open area. Depending on the surroundings, even the 90mm Voigtländer might be used.

The alternate position shows the sun to the right of the villa for the same time. To get the shot when still behind the building, it might require an earlier time to shoot.

Using either the Samyang 135mm or the Voigtländer 90mm in the Photo Transit to show the angle of view.

As the location is in open area, Photo Transit was able to provide a street view using the angle of the lens (here 135mm).

The evening shot

Not sure whether the evening location can be used. It might be private property, so we have to see once on site.

This will be close to the location used last time.

The sun will come from the back, so nothing to watch out for.

Last time I used the Samyang 135mm, so, this might work again. As the position is slightly closer than last time, even the Voigtländer 90mm will get a good chance.
