The traveling distance I tracked with my Garmin (without the way from home to Italy and back) is shown here:
The distance covered is 2670 kilometers. Mainly done by car but also including footwalks, trains, underground and bus as well as the boat trip in Cinque Terre.
The distance covered for the 2 days to get to Italy and back was 2594 kilometers.
I used 2 camera gears over there. The D7200 with mainly DX-lenses was used when walking around or when it was appropriate to have a light setup. The D800 with mainly prime lenses was used when predefined spots were visited or whenever we could easily get there by car without lot of walking distance. When needed I used my tripods.
The number of photos shot with each lens does not include larger cities (Pisa, Florence, Lucca, Rome and Venice). Also it counts only one shot if HDR or Panorama was done.
