Another 90 minutes at the owl’s place. Although a normal workday there are about 20 photographers there some of them travelled more than 300 kilometers to get here. The weather is fantastic and the owls are in good mood. Sometimes one get the impression that they really pose for the people.
I did around 800 shots using the D4 and the Sigma 150-600 S. Amazing scenery and every time there was some activity it sounded like gunfire with all the cameras shutter noise.
Short-eared Owl
It was actually supposed to be the Komet 12P/Pons-Brooks. But the clouds put a spanner in the works. The sky over Neuwerk, on the other hand, was largely clear.
