Today we’re going from Snorrastaðir to Látrabjarg. The route is planned via Klofingur and Rkhólaeyr at the southern coast line of the Westfjords.

To Klofingur we are taking the gravel road 590.

Close to the stopover there’s a sign to a church (in the middle of nowhere); something which wakes up curiosity. The F-road leading there is not too heavy but already ambitious. There is one house (not sure whether someone is still living there), the church and a small cemetery. Who is really going there for Sunday morning prayer???

Klofingur is definitely something that can be skipped when going to Iceland but as it is on our way, worth to drive by.

Next stop is Rkhólaeyr to fill up gas and for a coffee but also there are some nice dips in the sea close to the shore.

The last stage is the southern coast line further west towards Látrabjarg.

The hotel is still 22 km away from the cliffs but nice and suites good as a starting point for the tomorrow. At 8:30pm we go for the Puffins at Látrabjarg and there are really many of them. They are curious and come really close not scared at all.

Fantastic light from the late sun. However it is very cold wind over there.
