Another business trip to USA North-East. This time I stay in Shelton, CT. After some investigations I found 2 places which could be worth to visit for possible Bald Eagle shots, knowing that the season is already over and most of them have moved north again.

In the morning hours I drove to Southbury which is around 20 miles to the north. Slight chance that there could still be some around Shepaug Dam. I saw one immature but he was just flying by when I arrived, so no time to prepare the camera. Quite chilly and windy, so after a while I decided to drive to the second location which I figured out.

In Hamden, which is around 20 miles east of Shelton, I had more luck and also the weather turned out get much warmer than in Southbury.

The Quinnipiac River Marsh Wildlife Area is a place which can only be entered from the street and one cannot get far into it. However, it turned out to be a great place for Ospreys. I saw at least 4 birds cruising around.

There’s one resident nest of a Bald Eagle close to the street. The male eagle didn’t show up before I left again.
