From Website “Niedersächsische Mühlenstrasse”: In the 18th Century the mill was owned by the family Bulle.. According to the local chronicle of Lüdingworth the mill was built in its present form 1902 to 1904. It belongs to the Dutch building type of tower mills, the cone is built with bricks as a rotunda from the basement to the roof. The relatively small mill has no gallery. With help of a wind rose, the dome rotates according to the wind direction. From 1926 it belonged to George Steffens – hence called Steffen mill, who leased it to the miller Hesse. Steffens was the last who operated “Betty” as a windmill. The mill machinery is still functional but not used anymore. The mill is now used as a holiday home. Open for outside visits only.
