The last windmill disassembling has started. First wing has been brought down.

 

Hurricane “Xaver” (2013-12-06)

Early morning after Hurricane “Xaver” rushed over the Northern Sea. Only 2 hours before low tide, still high water-level.

Later the day, close to high tide and still high wind intensity from North-West. Water level is not as high as during night but still impressive. Walking on the dikes is really a pain. Some shots close to the ferry port and near Kugelbake.

 

Caroline Russ (2013-12-15)

From Fleetmon: General cargo vessel MERWEBORG allided with ferry CAROLINE RUSS while docking in Cuxhaven on Dec 12 13. Both vessel were damaged, with ferry suffering a breach portside above the waterline.
