Bad night had. Despite sleeping pill barely closed an eye because of this stupid engine. 5 star Nile cruise. Well, that can be cheerful.
It goes to the Horus temple. The trip takes place with a carriage. Mohammed says that we drive with the same carriage then also again back – if he is not mistaken there one…
Not as huge as Karnak but much better preserved is the Horus Temple. In the past, they were all richly painted. Must have looked already great. Mohammed says that earlier the courtyard was completely covered with silver. Expensive affair. Silver is said to have been more valuable than gold at that time. I don’t care, I don’t own either in sufficient quantities….
We are looking for carriage 232, which of course is not there. After some Arabic palaver a colleague drives us back to the ship. After a few meters carriage 232 comes on the opposite lane. Quickly the coachmen change, so that also the tip arrives correctly.
Back on the ship we continue to Kom Ombo. Mohammed thinks that we prefer to do the temple there on the way back in the morning hours. It’s fine with me and I hang out a bit more on the sun deck – in the shade.
After the other groups have visited the temple, the ship continues towards Aswan. We arrive around 9 pm. Before still under the great new bridge underneath and then we dock. Opposite the ship illuminated rock tombs, great sight. I turn around and, terrible sight, again the same ship again on the same side. Well then “good night”.
Tomorrow it goes against 8 o’clock. We want to stay inside Aswan…
Guten Tag,
Stefan
Alles in allem wars dann doch recht nett, so mit ein wenig Abstand betrachtet. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten entschädigen für Vieles.
