Not really Brittany but on its way and therefore worth to stop for 2 nights and take the opportunity to do some shots of the beautiful island.

From reading on the internet, the little village La Caserne is closed to public. Parking lots are offered at 2 main locations for tourists offering also shuttle services to the island.

The main reason is to shoot some pictures from outside and there seem to be 3 locations which might be accessible.

La Caserne

This location seems to be easy accessible but there might be a fence which prevents for getting on the Barrage du Mont Saint Michel.

The Samyang 135mm lens should be the number one choice. Depending on the view in reality it might also be done with Voigtländer 90mm or using the Tamron 70-200mm zoom lens.

Bellevue Saint Joseph

Google was able to get there, so should we…

Same lens choice from here as being used from La Caserne.

Street view shows lots of green land as a foreground, might not be the best choice to go there.

From the dyke

This might require some walk to the dyke but should be the number one choice for an evening shot. The sun will be nicely coming from behind and should then put some good light on the island.

Similar distance as with the first two locations so the lens choices should make it here as well.
