Early up and the sun is shining! Fantastic! Now we only need this for the tour to Snæfellsnes. Long story short… yes, it is fantastic weather at nearly all places on the peninsula.

On to Hellnar seeing the wonderful cave of lava in the water, the Baðstofa. After a short walk we are driving back to Arnastapi to see more of this beautiful lava coastline.

Another set of lava cones is the next stop on the way to the west. The Lóndrangar basalt cliffs are truly remarkable. Unfortunately a bit too late so the sun was shining from front.

The Snæfellsnjökull is viewable from the western side of Snæfellsnes. Clear up to the top. The eastern side is – as yesterday – in the clouds.

This one has to be taken serious 🙂

After a break in Olafsvik we go for the Kirkjufjell. This area is cloudy and in therefore in the shadows. A bit disappointing this attraction (or maybe I just don’t get it) but anyway. Lots of pictures on the net are definitely more worth to see than mines.

A lot of people here. Looks like everyone tries to shoot the picture for the hall of fame from here.

Heading back via Olafsvik to get around the Snæfellsnjökull from the eastern side.

And – of course – lucky with some birds during the drive.
