Second day Page and trip to Grand Canyon is today on the program.

First it goes with the booked tour to the Upper Antelope Canyon. 32$ for 1.5 hours (of which a little over an hour guided with explanations and the rest free exploring) I find now really not too exaggerated. In Germany you already pay 3.50€ to 5€ to get to the beach in Cuxhaven. Well, not everyone has to pay that, but some do 🙂

On the other hand, the visit is really worth it. At first it was still slightly cloudy, but the last half hour came out the Lorenz but still and that is then already very fascinating. To the felt 5 billion pictures of Antelope on the Internet I pack then now also a few in addition…

Antelope Canyon

After returning to the hotel, we passed Horseshoe Bend on the way to Grand Canyon.

Horseshoe Bend

The drive to the Grand Canyon is quite short with 2.5 hours.

Before we go to the hotel we have two first views of the canyon. Rain clouds are building up threateningly, the roads are wet and there are large puddles of water at the developed view points. No good omens… But, far from it, just the clouds and the clear air due to the rain make it a real aha experience.

Tomorrow the weather should be better – at least until 11 o’clock in the morning. After that we are supposed to go to Sedona anyway. Let’s see if it works better in the sun…
